Group Therapy

Group therapy is an effective form of treatment that is widely available and often more cost-effective than individual therapy. Research demonstrates the benefits of group therapy treatment for a number of concerns, including mood disorders, social phobia, panic disorder, chronic pain, and several other mental and physical health disorders and illnesses (For more information effectiveness of group therapy see Burlingame & Jensen, 2017; Paquin et al., 2021; and Yalom & Leszcz, 2020). Additionally, participating in group therapy can help to normalize concerns so that you feel less alone, as well as provide interpersonal connections in a supportive environment. Hearth providers are pleased to offer group therapy on a rotating basis. Please check back, as group offerings often change!

Until further notice, all therapy groups are offered virtually via a secure, HIPAA compliant platform. Groups meet weekly for 90 minutes over the course of 8-10 weeks. If you are interested in learning more about groups offered, please schedule a phone consultation appointment. A group screening appointment is required before starting in any group to ensure a good fit. Groups are capped at ten (10) members.
