Hello, and thank you for considering Hearth Counseling & Consulting as your provider. I'm Dr. Alli Irving, a Licensed Psychologist dedicated to helping adults and couples/dyads navigate various mental health challenges.

Education & Professional Background

  • Doctorate in Counseling Psychology: Texas Tech University

  • Licensure: Licensed Psychologist (Health Service Provider) in North Carolina and Georgia

  • Professional Experience:

    • Several years working with undergraduate and graduate students in higher education settings

    • Experience in community mental health, hospital/cancer centers, and adult probation

My Approach to Therapy

I believe in treating each client as a holistic individual, recognizing the unique intersection of identities they bring to the therapy space. My approach is individualized, utilizing primarily Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Process Therapy (IPT), with a strong emphasis on multiculturalism. I consider the therapeutic relationship a cornerstone of effective therapy and strive to build a strong working alliance with each client.

Residing in Raleigh with my spouse, children, and our certified therapy dog, Frankie, I enjoy:
